I’ve had a lot of thoughts spinning around in my head since Thanksgiving.  All of which would have made great posts.  That’s one reason I switched to Tumblr.  I can easily post from my phone, how cool is that.  So if I’m in some random spot with a wild idea, I just email it and poof - done - posted.  Ok, now that I’m done endorsing Tumblr (payment accepted in the form of cash please :), I can move on to what I really intended this post to be about…..

books

Books….that’s right.  Books.  I’ve got a list of them that I’m dying to read and one really good one that I’m about to finish that I want to tell you about.  Now, don’t leave me just yet.  Just because it’s about books doesn’t mean it’s boring.  Some people think that.  In fact, I was one of those people until a few years ago and then I transformed into this book reading freak who can’t get enough!  Sad, I know.

Among the many, many blogs I subscribe to and read, lies Emily Freeman and her blog, Chatting at the Sky.  Emily is a God loving woman who’s prose is both eloquent and challenging.  I love reading her words and was thrilled when I heard she was coming out with a book.  I was, however, thrown aback when I heard the title “Grace for the Good Girl”.  I have labeled myself a lot of things, but good girl has never, ever been one of them.  I didn’t let my worries stop me.  I bought the book and have been more than thrilled with it.  I’m not finished with it yet, and it has already spoken to my heart and changed both spirit and my relationship with God.  How I wish I had read this book when I was younger!  It would have saved me a lot of heartache.

I am very excited to be leading a small group study at our church that centers around this book and letting grace fill our hearts and letting down our guards.  I can’t wait to see how God moves in this place!

I highly recommend this book to women of all ages.  You can get it on your Nook or your Kindle, as well as in your local bookstore.  Check it out!
